How to wear a wig
Use a wig cap
Place a wig cap over your hair and adjust it so it feels secure without tightness. A cap helps protect your hair and gives the wig a smooth foundation.
Position from front to back
Hold the wig at the sides, place the front near your natural hairline, then pull the back down gently. Use the ear tabs to make sure both sides sit evenly.
Secure and style
Adjust the straps or combs, then style lightly with your fingers or a suitable brush. For lace fronts, keep the hairline soft and avoid heavy product build-up.
Fit
How to measure your head
1Wrap a soft tape around your hairline, passing above the ears and around the nape. This gives your circumference.
2Measure from the centre of your front hairline over the crown to the nape for front-to-back length.
3Measure ear to ear across the top of your head to understand the crown width and cap comfort.
4Write measurements down in centimetres and inches, then choose the closest cap size. If between sizes, consider adjustability and how you prefer the fit to feel.
Aftercare
How to care for your wigs
Wash gently
Detangle first, then wash in cool to lukewarm water with a gentle shampoo. Avoid rubbing the cap or twisting the hair, as this can loosen knots and cause shedding.
Condition the lengths
Apply conditioner through the mid-lengths and ends, keeping heavy conditioner away from lace, knots and attachment points. Rinse thoroughly so the hair stays light.
Dry with patience
Blot with a towel and let the wig air dry on a stand where possible. If using heat, choose a low setting and always use heat protection on human hair pieces.
Store properly
Keep your wig on a stand, mannequin head or in a silk bag away from direct sunlight. Brush gently before storing so it is ready for the next wear.
